| Dog food...Wellness I had read a a week or so ago about another YT member whose baby got sick and eventually died from some tainted dog food. I am in the process of looking for a good dog food for Chloe and am considering the Wellness Puppy. Anyone else use this or have input? For some reason I want to say that Wellness may have been the one that was tainted but I may be wrong?? It may have been Nutro...Im drawing a blank. I know there were lots of different brands but I keep thinking this was one of them.. It was rated a 5 on dog food analysis and given good reviews though. Anyways, does anyone have any input or recommendations? Also, I had heard something that you should avoid grain? Give me the 411 here, lol

| Chase was on Welllness Puppy and I just switched him over to Innova Puppy. Both are premium dog food. According to my research, you should wait until adulthood to feed them grainless. Check out Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble. It's an independent dog food review site which I found helpful.

| Canidae(not sure if grainless) and TOTW(I know is grainless) are both for all life stages. I had my 3 1/2 year old on Canidae when he was 5 1/2 mos old, and he did great on it. I know with all my little ones, I have also switched them from puppy to adult food as soon as they've quit growing(around 6 mos)when they've been on food other than all life stages |

| Thanks everyone. After more online research and your replies Wellness sounds like a great choice! I went and got her the Wellness just for puppy this morning and began mixing it in with her food to eventually get her on it completely within a week or so. She seemed to like it and she is a picky eater I am so glad I found someting better!

| The Wellness company is really great about sending you samples. When I was concidering Small Breed they sent me 2 sample packs within like 2-3 days. It was fast! Then they gave coupons as well. I just emailed them at their site. PS- Max also LOVES their canned food. He loves sweet potato and they have it with Turkey or Chicken. I mix a little canned with his hard food in the am.
