My Ally is not herself Hi All, I'm new here. My soon to be 7 month old yorkie, who is 4 lbs. and teething is not her spunky self. Can teething do this to her? She has been down for two days. All she does is sleep or mope around. She is usually very energetic and follows me all around the house and wants to play all day. She was stung by a wasp on Tuesday, we went to the vet and he gave her a shot to deal with the swelling and something else. The next day I took her to her puppy resort and they had her with other dogs for 5 hours. She loves other dogs and goes non-stop the whole time she is with them. So that could have worn her out, but she has been dragging for 2 days. She is eating well and going to the bathroom alright. Could any of you please help me figure out what could be wrong with her. It is so sad to see her so down. Belle

YT Addict | I don't really know much about this bust I can tell you this, when my rottie (i know different breed, but might still apply) plays hard like that, she sleeps for several days too. It might be a mix of it all. |

Thanks for your reply. She is probably just pooped. I hope that is all it is. Just now when I took her out to go to the bathroom she acted like she always does outside. But when she came back in it was back to laying down. Hard to figure out. Hope your puppy is doing well. Thanks again, Belle

Did you give her any neutrical. I also have a 7 month old and he does play real hard with my others. I have to watch him to make sure he is not playing too hard too long, and is eating and drinking plenty. Make sure her sugar level is up and yes she is probably teething. But if this continues please take her to the vet. Welcome to YT.....Lissette

We had a hypoglycemic scare last night and Curly was just laying there, not moving other than a little twitch. Have you tried Nutrical or honey? Maybe her blood sugar is low. That will happen if they've used more energy than they had. Worth a shot.

Hi there, She isn't hypo, she had a problem with that when she was tiny. I used to give her karo syrup. Worked like a charm. Thank you for your reply. Belle

Hey Barbie, Thanks for your posts. Ally has had her parvo vaccine. At this point I think it is her teeth. She is sleeping in her crate as I type this. She went in there all by herself. Thanks again, Belle

Hi there, Ally is not hypo, she is dragging though. I think it is her teeth, because she isn't even chewing on anything. I think her month is too sore. I did put some small wet clothes in the freezer for her to chew on, if she can. The vet showed me that she has all her canines coming in and she still has her baby teeth in the way. Thanks so much for your reply Belle

Thanks Barbie, I didn't know they could still get parvo. What's funny is she acts like her old self when I take her out to go to the bathroom. How do you tell if they have a urinary tract infection? Maybe that's it. Thanks again, Belle
