| Thin hair My precious girl, Deb is 11 weeks old. Her hair seems to be so thin on top of her head. You can see the white of her head. Is this something I should be concerned about? When I look at pictures of all the other puppies, I don't see any of the other puppies with thin hair!!! I am anxious to hear back from some of you!! Jen |

| Don't worry about it! She's just a baby. The babies with thin hair usually have silky hair as adults. It will probably begin to thicken by 4.5 to 5 months of age. Consider yourself blessed. I have been...twice!

| I was wondering the same about Roxy. Does anyone elses pup hair stick out everywhere on his/her body? When Roxy shakes her hair gets real fluffy and sticks out. Does anyone know what her coloring could be if her head is black but changing, I can see kinda a white beigish color coming in. |

| Thank you to all!! Deb is my first yorkie too so I am not sure what to expect...but I am so happy with her. She is the most loveable sweet dog and beautiful too! I will wait patiently to see her hair fill in And as for sticking out all over the place, hers does that too!! As soon as I figure out how to post her picture, I will do that so everyone can see how adorable she is!!! |

| I'll be looking for her picture. They are the best little angels in the world. I can vouch for that. With each passing year, they become more angelic, too. I've never seen anything like it!

| I have gotten more inquiries than I can count with the "help, my puppy is going bald!" question. I always tell new parents that the puppy's head will look like "an old man who is growing out his Grecian Formula hair. I might be telling my age..LOL..but it really does look that way. The roots are not falling out, they are simply growing the beginnings of adult coat. Be patient and you will see the hair grow longer and the tips will be black and the remainder is white, silver, or tan. Yorkies sometimes do not break their final adult coat til 1 1/2 years old.. |

| that's funny you brought that up. my teejay has thick hair throughout his whole body except for his head. the hair on his head is extremely thin and flimsy. well that was when he USED to have hair on top of his head. he's a baldy now. |

| How interesting. My Avery is 8 months old and the hair on top of his head is very thin, also. Just the end of the hair, probably 1/2 inch is still black. The rest is white as can be. His coat is still black, but the undercoat is as silver. Obviously, he still has a lot of changing to do! |
