| Angel Eyes.... Has anyone heard of the product Angel Eyes? I recently bought it for my Yorkie. It keeps the tear stains away. I just want to make sure it is healthy for her. I don't want any health issues down the road. |

| I'm trying it now on Sophie. I assumed that it was safe since it appears to be only chicken liver made into a powder. She's been on it since April and so far it does appear to be working on the tear stains, but with the expense, I'm not sure if I'm going to keep her on it. If anyone does know of anything bad about it, please let me know so I can discontinue using it. |

| The only thing I have heard that is adverse is that it has a low dose antibiotic in it. If given daily perhaps when your dog actually NEEDS an antibiotic they won't work as well.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | angel eyes does work. however it has an antibiotic in it name tylosin. Long term use of an antibiotic can cause a dog to become immune to it. I have morgan on it now but will only use this one bottle. Its not something i would use constantly because i don't want her to become immune to it.

It can also falsely elevated liver enzymes which can be confusing when looking at blood work, so your vet should probably know about it if blood work has to be done.

YT 2000 Club Member | Ive been using it on and off on my toy poodle for almost 2 years now. No problems and it works great. I started Tucker on it when he was around 3 months old, he was on it when I had his pre-op blood work done and it came back fine. However I have read that it can mess with blood work. I use less than what is recommended and once the intial staining goes away ( usually 3 to 4 weeks) I only use it when I see they are having issues, then I use it for a week and its gone again. I bought the smallest bottle they offered and it lasted over a year.

| Yes! I've been using it since September of '08 for my boys. After three months, you just use it twice a week. They are doing great with it! Actually, as soon as I started using it, their frito body smell and stinky breath went away. I was so happy about that because I wasn't expecting that as a plus! My hairdresser had recommended it and she had been using it for her maltese dogs for years. Haven't heard her complain either. She loves it! |

| Thanks for the OP for starting this thread! I just started Cassi on Angel Eyes as she has terrible tear staining. I've done a google search the other day and haven't found any negative reviews aside what has been mentioned so far. So far I've given her Angel Eyes for the last 4 days and have been giving her a smaller dose then what's indicated on the bottle. Once the tear stains clear up I'm going to switch from daily to bi-weekly and eventually monthly.

| Angel eyes has helped Mia alot. It has even made her coat softer. I leaned about it from a girl with a toy yorkie. I guess the eye goobers have bacteria in it. They can get eye infections from it. The most reasonable place I have found to get it is on Amazon.com. I have been giving it to her daily for about a month, I now have started every other day. It seems to still be doing ok.

YT Addict | Many people with maltese and other light breeds use it. But you need to use it for about 2 weeks and then stop for a few weeks and then add it back for about a week. You just have to remember that in does have an antibiotic in it. You can read alot about it on the sister site Maltesetalk.com and search it. |

| I just bough some on Ebay. I will be giving it to Callie only. She has Red Yeast eye boogers (that's my diagnosis.) I hope to clear up the yeast infection and then I will stop using it and see how she does.

| I bought it at Absolutelypets.com for $13.50 + shipping. I'll have to check ebay next time to see if it's cheaper as it can be quite costly if you're using this product on a daily basis...I can't wait until I switch over to monthly use.
