Donating YT 500 Club Member | bully bone Hello everyone! SO i got a question.. when you give your pup a bully stick- do you let them eat the whole thing? I really am not sure if i should let her have the whole thing in one sitting.. so i try to take it from her and she gets mad at me and goes in the corner and pouts... I was wondering what you guys do with your bully stick?? I have never seen her like a bone so much!!! And if you take it from them, how often and how long do you let them chew? Thanks!

| I would let her chew away as long as she want. Maybe take it away when she's alone as it is safer. |

| Do you all let your yorkies swallow pieces of the bully stick? Violet seems to get these big long pieces, like string, off of the stick, and I'm afraid to let her swallow them! So when she gets to that point, I take it away and cut the "strings" off and give it back. She gets so mad at me! Haha.

| I used to just leave them out and put them up when we left. Now they get them after dinner. It is cute, when we go into the living room, she runs right over to where they are on the shelf and sits and looks at us. If we don't give it to her right away, she will run back and forth and do this until she gets her bully. Hot Rod will usually get tired and stop chewing and go to sleep. Maggie May will chew to her hearts content but stop when it's time to go to bed.

i usually do not let them chew on them too long unless i have a lot to do at home and need them to entertain themselves (lol). it seem when i let them chew to their hearts content they will eat the whole darn thing and then have runny poo. if i limit the time i let them chew on them, the poo is fine

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey has access to a stick at all times. He loves he's bully sticks, and I only buy Merrick brand. They are really hard, and more of a chewing stick than a food because it takes so long to "eat" one stick. I usually give him a new stick every week. Merrick is made in the USA with no preservatives and no expiration dates, so in my opinion, it is less likely to cause tummy upsets and runny pooh. It's more expensive than other brands, but it really lasts a long time. They preserve the sticks though a method of drying, which is an expensive method to do properly, and without the use of artificial preservatives.
