That's great that Olivia does not have a sensitive stomach. I had to bring Cassi to the vet on Monday b/c she was still not back to her 100% self and she generally did not look well. So that's the last time I'm going to try raw.

Thanks! They gave her some antibiotics and she's doing much better today. She's almost back to her usual playfulness. :)

I had Cassie on NV raw for about a week or so and then the brown liquid throw up came. I took her to the vet and she told me to stop the NV raw. She was just not tolerating it well. Too bad, because she loved it and she had such little poos. I have her on The Honest Kitchen now and she likes it alot. But now lots of poos. Good Luck, Shellie :-)

I hope your Cassie is fine. Initially my little furbutt loved NV raw but after the 2nd day, she turned her nose away from it so I added a little of the dry kibble to it see if she would eat it. In any case, Cassiopia has been so hard to feed, she's so picky. She get's bored of her food after 1-2 days. :rolleyes: Are Honest Kitchen kibble small? Right now, I'm so hesitant to switch her food again... I will try to do it gradually, but it's so hard b/c she has a tendency of just picking out the new kibble she wants to eat and will leave the rest untouched. So I'll may to crush the kibble into little pieces so that she can't pick them out. :p

Hi Evelyn,

The Honest Kitchen (THK for short) is not kibble. It is dehydrated Human Grade food and has passed inspection for Human consumption. There are no fillers or any pet grade ingredients. It is taste tested by humans. Smells great. There are 5 knds, I feed mine the Force. The girls love it. But they make lots and lots of poos. Not sure what that is about, but it is very healthy, they love it, has all the nutrition they need so I don't have to add any supplements like I did when I was home feeding. (That was a nightmare.)

I measure a quarter cup of the dehydrated natural food, and hydrated it with about a quarter cup and then half a quarter cup of liquid (you can use warm water - I use chicken soup.) Mix and let set for 10 minutes. You can feed it alone or with a quarter cup of meat, or veggies or fruits etc. added. They just love it. But it is very expensive, although I only feed them both a half cup a day--(they both weigh 2 lbs each full grown, so they don't eat very much-but as I said before, they do make lots of poops.

Hi Shellie - Thanks for the clarification. :) I just realized THK was not kibble about 10 minutes ago when I was reading another food post.:p However, your further description on how the food is prepared is certainly helpful. At this point, I am really hesitant to put Cassi on any other food aside from kibble and wet food. This last vet visit I spent $400 b/c they ran two different blood test...one for cbc and chem and the other for Addison's disease. After doing some reading on-line I realized the Addison's disease blood test was probably not necessary unless her electrolyte level was off. Oh well, I guess I should probably pay more attention to the bill when I handed over my credit card. :rolleyes: I was just soooo stressed and worried about her. Anyway, all her blood test came back normal and the doctor said she probably just had an upset stomach which may have been caused by feeding her NV raw. So back to kibble mixed with wet food for her.
