| Pads on Paws-any pups wearing shoes/boots? It's me again everyone....I'm 24/7 on this site. I took Snickers to a doggy friendly outdoor mall yesterday and this morning I looked at his cute little pads on his paws and noticed a little pink coming through. I am not sure if the snowy pathways or salty pathways for that matter have taken toll on his paw pads. Is this normal?? Do any of you have boots/shoes for your pups? Where did you get them? Do your pups like them or wiggle/bite them off? Expensive? I think I should get Snick some since I do like to walk him even in snowy weather. Thanks -Viv |

| My dog Sushi use to get them all the time in the summer because he would run around in our backyard like crazy. They heeled in a couple of days. I think they just get pink when they walk around too much. We have some booties for him but he doesn't like them. |

| My baby has a pair, boots with rubber sole. I got it for around $10. The first time she wore it, it was SOOO FUNNY!!! She was like a walking drunk! LOL!!! You better have your video camera ready because they learn how to walk/run in it very fast! Yes she has tried to bite or take it off at first, but she was too busy running like a horse to actually get it off

| I tried some on Wookie when he first started experiencing snow (he doesn't like walking in the snow). He wouldn't even move in the shoes. He just stood in one place, I would pick him up and move him, and he would just stand there! Funny! |

♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | Yes, for you shoes are a MUST!! It's my understanding that the salt they use to melt ice is very hard on their little paws!! Some people use shoes for cold or snow in their own yards, but many use them mainly because of the ice they use to melt snow/ice on roads and sidewalks. I found some at Walmart for not very much, maybe $10-12. And then I've seen one's at Petsmart, I think ("Muttluks"), that are supposed to be very high quality that are more around $40, even online. So, you may want to start out with a cheaper pair to see if they'll work, knowing that you may have to replace them sooner than the more expensive ones, or you may want to just get the nice ones now. Read some reviews of them online first to see what you think of their quality first. Also, try Ebay!!
