Eye matter I was wondering if anyone knows an easy way to clean the stuff the comes out of the dog's eyes. I have been trying a warm washcloth, but it doesn't seem to get all of the stuff. Please help. |
I have seen stuff in the pet stores and zi think you feed them something that lessens this. |
Wet it with the warm washcloth to soften it if it is hard, then use a toothbrush to get it out. Works great. |
welcome Hi a warm welcome to yorkietalk. My baby prudence has gunky eyes I make it a morning thing where I get soft cotton pads dunk them in water and gently clean it out of her eyes and then brush the fur gently where it is wet and that gets out any lumps and she has got use to me doing it .The vet said its best to not start treating it with stuff or you can start getting all sorts of problems but i did get her to have a look at It just to make sure it wasn't an eye infection. :) dianne and prudence :) |
i use a warm wash cloth and then i try to comb it out with the flea comb. it does come out, but trying to get to it isnt funny.... she squirms all over and runs like hell |

Make a warm tea (can be camomile or regular Lipton) and clean it |
I have one that has no problem and one with a terrible problem. So, I use the wet wipes that you can buy. |
don't the wet wipes have soap and chemicals that could hurt your yorkies eyes?! I use water and a towel. |
I use the warm water and a flea comb too. Just make sure to work from behind the head out so you are not going into the eye area ... with all the wiggling it ain's easy....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL |
I use wipes too! I bought mine from Robins Pet Care and it they are made by earthbath and are all natural. He really like to get wiped down with them. His coat looks very shiny after. |
Eye wipes and a flea comb do a good job for my little guys. :) I also wash the eye area very well with warm water during bath time. |
I also use a warm cloth and comb . So far it works great. |
