| Steak Bones Is it ok to give our babies steak bones? Piper seemed to get quite sick after he ate them.

| Cooked bones are never okay to give, they can splinter and cause damage to your baby's digestive tract. A raw one is probably okay to give..

| Thanks for answering. I did give him a cooked one, so that was probably what made him sick.

| I agree - cooked bones are not safe to feed. Raw bones are but not weight bearing bones - they break and chip teeth. (like knuckle, femur, etc...and the ones sold as "pet bones" in stores) Steak and pork chop bones can be too sharp - even raw - cause they are sawed which makes the edges very sharp. Hope this helps a bit. |

| We had prime rib for Christmas (rare) & I gave the bones to the boys. They loved them. Clarence, my 12 y/o, doesn't have the best teeth, do y'all think he could eat a raw chicken leg? |
