Aw Nicki! I am soooooo glad to hear that the girls are home and doing well!! Her belly looks GREAT!! I know she will feel even better tomorrow. Just keep her from licking her incision. Give her some tender smooches from me and my girls!! XOXOXOX

Just seeing your thread again. So happy to see that everything went great and that you are spoiling them rotten. These little brats have a way of doing that. Delilah is a real kisser too. I love it and would not have it any other way.

Great to hear that DeDe and Chloe are doing good! How are they doing now? Probably back to themselves already I'm sure! Take care! :)

Hi Nicky! Sorry i didnt see this thread until now...just read it and I am sure glad that it is all over and the girls are doing well! I can feel your relief!!:D

I know how you feel....

I know exactly how you feel. My Daisy Mae is getting spayed on Tuesday. She is 5 months and my friend is my vet and she will be doing the surgery. Even tho I know my friend Rachel is very good, I am still freaking out. After reading your heartfelt post, I am sitting here crying and am worried now too! :(

I don't know what I would do if she didn't come home :aimeeyork I will not be fun to live with for a while.

I will keep you both in my prayers Monday. :animal-pa

Thanks everyone...yep DeDe and her mommy Chloe are both doing wonderful! I wrapped their Christmas presents today and DeDe was nosy...sticking her head in the box and trying to get her toys...lol...she is definitely back to her old self and I am so fortunate that this is over with and I will have my baby with me on Christmas (and my sister will have hers too)! :D

Sasha jsut had hers a week ago. The hardest part for me was getting up that morning because i knew that i was going to have to leave her. But they will monitor everything like they would for a human. I called to check on her and make sure she was ok so that might ease it. Maybe give them a hour and a half and call. That was the longest hour of my life!!!! But once they said she jsut got out and is resting i felt this big relief. I know its difficult Sasha is my other half my best friend my reason for happiness i dont know what i would do with out her. But you trust your vet and he knows what the two of you have been through so im sure he will do everything he can God bless and hope to hear from you soon.

P.S. Sasha was up playing the next night even though she wasnt supposed to lol just try not to let her lick it

Now it's only 1 day away and I get more and more nervous. I get so close to cancelling the whole thing but I know this is the best for her. She is so little and I have intact males in the house...I just can't take that chance. She is my baby...I am so attached to all my monkeys but DeDe and I just got stuck together at the hip when I almost lost her as a baby. I hand feed her every day still and carry her around with me wherever I go...sigh...I got her Christmas presents already and I just keep thinking that what if I'm never able to give them to her....:(

I know I"m probably just being super paranoid...my vet said he does this all the time and he can't remember the last time they lost an animal under anesthesia. The kind they use is the safest kind and he said they have them hooked into all kinds of machines that monitor their vitals...and they can bring them right back out if anything happens. She has to be spayed and get about 4 or 5 of her babies pulled that are already loose. My vet knew how worried I was so he squeezed her in on Monday so we could get it over with as soon as possible. Also, my sister is letting DeDe's mommy get spayed with her at the same time so they can be together. He's going to do both of them one right after the other.

Am I making the right decision? Am I being too dramatic and paranoid? In some ways I feel like I am, and in others I just can't stop thinking about losing my little munchkin.

NO:eek: you are not being paranoid. I was the same way with my Mia. It is very scary!!! Say a prayer even if you don't usually do it. I was sooooo worried I told my vet Mia couldn't stay the night at the vet when they did the surgery. I dropped her off really early and picked her up at about 7pm. I didn't want her to be alone or to think I left her forever. My vet is a big place and when my husband and I walked in at 7 pm to pick her up, I whistled my special whistle she knows and Mia heard me. Mia started barking like crazy and whimpering. I was sooooo happy to hear she was loud and awake!!!

Just remember that the sooner they are spayed and neutered, the longer they live. Thats what my vet told me anyways. You just have to keep that in mind ;)
