| fleas...only 3or 4...what to do!!! [SIZE="3"]How long have you been using Frontline? You need to make sure when you apply it monthly that you do it at least two days after the dog has had a bath. My groomer said that it is the oils in the dogs skin that help the Frontline to work. You will still see fleas on the dog for awhile. But the groomer also said that "the fleas you see today are not the fleas that were there yesterday". When the fleas bite the dog, they die within 12-24 hours. The very best thing I have found to kill fleas is plain Dawn dishwashing liquid. The little boogers die almost immediately and then you rinse them down the drain!! I hope this helps you out! Have a great day! |

Also - you may never see any fleas on you or in your house... but if she had 4 that you did see - then I'd def treat her bedding - your home - and anything else you can treat - flea eggs dont live on the pet - they drop off and hatch in the surroundings - | |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ps - for biting live adult fleas -you can order CAPSTAR pills from 800-Pet Meds - they kill any biting fleas but only last 24 hours - no prescription required the thing is - you still have to treat the pet because chances are they laid eggs and the cycle will continue...which is why treating your home is so important |

| If you wash her in Dawn, you will wash the Frontline off. Only soap free shampoos formulated for dogs are safe to use with flea products. You should always bathe first, then apply the flea treatment. Fall and the cooler weather is the worst time of the year for fleas. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I have never had a problem with fleas, but I did see a few ticks on my baby this summer. YUCK! I use Frontline as well. It works great. But I couldn't understand why my baby got ticks and they didn't die or fall off. Especially since Frontline works for fleas and ticks. After talking to my vet I found I was giving him a bath to much. I would bathe him once a week because he likes to pee on himself. But the vet said that frontline works in the oils in their hair as well and if I was bathing him alot the frontline wouldn't work as well. So I decided during the summer to use a flea and tick shampoo along with frontline. This worked great. Good Luch! |
