Natural Balance Lexie and Beau were both on Eagle Pack and they were handling it fine, then a couple of days ago the Lexie started biting her feet and then Beau started yesterday. I have decided to switch their food because Eagle Pack has lots of grains in it and I have a feeling that is what is bothering them. The animal nutritionist at our local pet supply store suggested Natural Balance because it has only a few ingredients. Here is the list: Fresh Sweet Potatoes: Single premium quality carbohydrate rich in potassium and a highly digestible energy source. Fresh Venison: Premium quality protein source not commonly used in pet foods. Canola Oil: Low in saturated fat and high in monounsaturated fat. Excellent Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acid profile. Flaxseed: An excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids. Grain Free No Artificial Preservatives, Flavors, Colors or Bleached Ingredients. Does anyone else feed this? Does this seem like a good dog food even if you don't feed it? Thanks!! |

Buddy has been on Natural Balance Organic for three years. He has a beautiful and shinny coat and is very healthy. I add fresh white meat chicken and veggies to his meals as well. It's a four star kibble as well. I was going to suggest what Browniesmom suggested. I heard that was good for allergies. |

Are you talking about the sweet potato formula or the duck and potato formula? My boys are on the Natural Balance Ultra Premium Small Bites and it's GREAT! Champ has always has back problems and since we made the switch he's had no spasms. And his coat has improve and less itching. Also, Rowdy had a cough we he was 12 weeks (mild respitory infection), so we went ahead and switched him from teh eukanuba small breed puppy to the NB and his cough went away (without any meds). They said they think he was allergic to the grain. I love the NB...couldn't have asked for better results and they LOVE it too! One thing though...the lady at our pet store told me to stay away from the products that the main protein source is duck for small breed. Don't really remember the reason, but she's very knowledgable (she's a retired vet asst.) so I figured there was some truth to that. I would check that out before switching to the duck formula. Good luck! |
Yes that is what we use :D |
My mom's furbaby is on the NB Potato & Duck. He loves it and does great with it. |
Both of ours are on the Ultra Premium formula and do great with it. |
:thumbs up |

I heard that it's one of the better ones. But I began to use Canidea and love it. It's all natural/organic. I hope ypu find something that wont make them allergic. |
What with our Nina having so many allergies, both food & environmental, all we can say is THANK YOU for Natural Balance-we serve the Fish & Sweet Potato mix. |
Rocky has been on Natural balance since i got him it's the only food that keeps him stable. Well his poopie  lol sorry ive had him on all the Natural Balance and the one he does best on is the Organic.
