I just noticed Chloe hiccuping for the first time this morning! |
Aaaww ... I never heard mine do it .... |
Tricksie is 2 and still has them, never heard her fart though, "what a little lady"!!! |
Naboo usually hiccups when she has her ball in her mouth, she gets too excited jumping while the ball is in her mouth so she starts hiccuping or burping. |
kenji hiccups a lot as well. he'll hiccup for a good 5 minutes straight. i think it's so cute. |
good to know it's normal ;). my family always had larger dogs who i nevver heard hiccuping so i thought maybe this is abnormal! being a new puppy owner, everything that they do i question whether it's ok or not. heheh |
Canyon doesn't hiccup but he does burp. |
My little Pasquale was hiccuping the other day...freaked me out cause i had never seen a dog hiccup before. But dear god can that dog burp....everytime he does..i say "god , you are such a man" LoL It amazes me something so small can burp SO loud! |
poor babies -- they can't stand on their heads or do any of those crazy things people swear will make hiccups go away! |
Yes, My Suzi Hiccups too. She is 6 months old though. I did not know it was common in puppies. Poor little thing, when she hiccups, i know it is uncomfortable for her. :aimeeyork |

When I see mines hiccuping, I would give them water and it stops. :D |
Yup, my dog as well was very strange the first time it happened. |
LOL! Yes they do... but everyone told you by now.. :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Heart stops... I heard that Your heart stops because your diaphragm and the muscles near it convulse, causing you to briefly gulp air. This causes the glottis to slam shut which makes the "hic" noise but I wonder if this is the same for dogs (pets) ? When Sami hiccups it is cute.. but knowing that hiccups cause the heart to stop I do get a little worried.. but it stops within a few minutes |
kinnys used to hiccup as a pup, i used to rub her throat and tummy gently and they would go away |
