Fast breathing while sleeping I am not sure if anyone else's puppy breathes very fast when sleeping, but my little Huey breathes really fast while sleeping. He is 12 weeks old. I have just noticed this. Can anyone help me out here? Is this normal? I have had him for 2 weeks now and he is my first. I am just worried.

Hello, when our litle girl was a baby she did that as well. She eventually grew out of it. I was worried as well but my sister explained that her little boy did the same thing when he was a baby. They both stopped at around 4 months or so.

All the time or sometimes? Dogs can have nightmares. It's best to wake them up from the nightmare. Maybe it's a nightmare?

My dog does this occasionally. I think it's when she's dreaming. If I think it might be a nightmare, I gently pet her until she about halfway wakes up. I don't want my baby having bad dreams! I wouldn't worry about it, though. I think it's pretty normal for them to do that.
