Anyone used Ivermectin? success stories?? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Bella is due to the Vet tomorrow & was going to go the route of using Ivermectin to see if mites could be the problem. Pls if anyone could share their stories if this was used. She did have skin scraping, but mites did not show up? Would love to hear others experience with skin issues/Ivermectin. Thanks!

Well i did use it on my Guinea pig for mite's Most if not all (not 100%)Mites don't show up on skin scraping's.
I have no experience with it with dog's.

We went to a exotics vet We did not do it outselfs I do know if given to much it can kill them.

Well everyone.....wish I had posted this sooner, but Bella goes in tomorrow morning & I'm really want to understand all this beforehand. Really need your HELP! I wanted to learn all I can about Ivermectin & this is the reason for the post. Tonite, I was looking through Bella's things & I saw on one of her literatures: It listed Heartguard (Ivermectin)? So I didn't know that Ivermectin was an ingredient of this? I remember switching Bella from Heartguard to Interceptor. Could this be the reason her itching came back? Possibly the Heartguard helped @one time because it had Ivermectin?? What would be the difference in Heartguard & Ivermectin that the Vet wants to try?
