| Does anyone feed Blue Buffalo?? Hi! I had Captain Jack on Artemis, but it seemed to give him really bad gas! So I now have him on Blue Buffalo puppy lamb and rice. Do ya'll have any good or bad thoughts on this food? I also bought him so old mother hubbard treats ( bacon and chedder bones and peanut butter bones) and he loves those!

| I have Pepper on the Blue Buffalo and he really seems to love it, except for the little life source bits. I find them all over the house. He refuses to eat them. I will pick up his food bowl and it will be full of them. So, I guess I will be looking for another food.

| I don't think the puppy food has those in it??? I was talking to one of my customers and she said that her Bichon won't eat them either. He loves the rest of the food, but he leaves those all over her house! I don't know...maybe i'll just go back to Natural Balance. That is what i fed my Max and it was great for his allergies.

| Still have not heard back from them. Think I will email them again. Pepper really seems to like it except for those little bits.

| I tried mine w/ Blue Buffalo, but they didn't really seem to care for it much. My hound ate it some, but it ended up making her sick. I don't think it had anything to do with the food though--she just can't stomach alot of the higher end foods. |

| I feed Suzi a puppy food by nature. She does well on it so far.

| I finally got a reply to my question about the life source bits that Pepper will not eat. Here is what it said: Dear Donna, Thank you for your interest in BLUE. Sometimes this can happen because the bits do give off a slightly different taste and they are a bit harder. Different textures and tastes can sometime throw off the animal. However, when this happens, it is just a matter of time before they get used to it. You can try adding some moist food to the dry and mixing it in to mask the bits until they get used to them or you can try sprinkling warm water on the food. This will bring out the natural flavors and aromas and make it more appealing to them. Your dog will still be benefiting from the food. The life source bits are an important part of the food, giving them all the nutrients needed. By eating only the kibble, they will still be getting nutrients from what is left after the cooking process, only it will be like eating any other premium food. However, BLUE has high quality ingredients that you do not always find in other foods; regardless of the potency of the vitamins. All our formulas have the bits. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions. Best Regards, The Blue Buffalo Company
