My lola has horrible gases Ever since I got her spayed last week she has been having a lot of gases. I can hear them in her stomach when she is sitting with me and she has been burping a lot. Do you think this is all due to the surgery? Is there anything I can do? I have an appointment with the vet on Monday but wanted to know if anyone else has had the same experience :) |
Sorry I don't recall that happening to Cali when I had her spayed but I think people can have problems like that from surgery/anesthesia so I'm sure dogs can too. Hopefully someone will respond who has had this problem. |
Did you change her food or anything? If not, I'd definitely mention this to the vet as it could be due to a number of things - irritating the digestive system at the surgical site somehow and/or irritating the esophagus from intubation, maybe causing some reflux/or swallowing air...? Also though, hormones can cause gas - so with her going through alot of hormonal adjustments, it could be this as well. |

Did you change her diet? My doggies has never had gas thank god! I'm not sure why your baby is having this happen. Hope the vet can give you some advice. |
