| Well, I got my Nature's Logic in about a week ago. I'm still transitioning over to it. I have a couple that don't eat it well unless it's mixed with some canned but most seem to gobble it up. I'm feeding 12 with it so I expected some would be slow in taking to it but I'm convinced it's a way better food than what I have been using (Foster & Smith). I like the natural vitamin approach and also like the use of montmorillionite clay. The more I research its uses the more I like it. I'm thinking of getting some clay for my own use. I haven't tried the raw yet as I'm waiting to get switched over with the new kibble first. I didn't want to invite stomach upset by trying 2 new things at once but got a good deal on some chicken leg quarters that I may try this weekend with them. |

| The one thing I've noticed so far is that I'm feeding a little less of the Nature's Logic than the old kibble and they're holding their weight so I guess it must be more nutrient dense than the Foster & Smith. The protein content is about 10% higher with the Nature's Logic. If it wasn't for my finding out about menadione in the Foster & Smith, I never would have tried a different food. With the NL, everything seems fine so far; no throwing up or diarrhea. The poo is about the same but I expected that because they always had compact stools with the F&S but there may be less volume of it now. I only want to do the raw as a maybe twice weekly thing to get a dental benefit from it. All in all, I'm very happy with making the changes. I was like a kid at Christmas waiting for the new food to come and couldn't wait to get them switched over. You know you've got it bad when finding a new dog food is the high point of your week . |
