Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Max has the runs I've been reading on what food is the good and decided to switch, I requested samples of Chicken Soup.. and Natural Balance.Max loved the NB potato and duck formula, the Chicken Soup, not so much, I went to buy the NB but they did not have the small bites, they guy at the pet store recommended Wellness, I remembered I had read it was a good one as well, and it has the guarantee that if your dog does not like it, you can return the open bag.I got it yesterday to start the "very slow"transition from RoyalC to Wellness. This morning my oldest son had to work early, so he took Max out to pee and filled his bowl with the new foodMax eat it all, and about an hour latter he started with the runs, not watery, but definitely not his usual poo, he has pooped 5 or 6 times during the day, and I know that at diner time he'll be asking for food.I read somewhere, but I can't find it now, that pumpkin was good, my husband wanted me to give him Peptobismol, but I don't think that work, at the same time if I let him poop he may be able to get rid of what ever he has in his sytem. Any suggestions?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | So, if I understand it - your son gave him all new food then? Not a huge deal, but probably irritating his system - as you can tell. Some canned pumpkin would probably help him a bit. At dinner time, if it were me - I'd probably just feed him his old food. And then tomorrow, feed the old food with about 1/4 of the new food and proceed from there. Pepto is fine for dogs. If you think Pepto would be a benefit, give about 1/2 tsp. to him.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh, I think the Wellness is GREAT - I was just saying that I'd give just the old food tonight since he had ALL new food today, ya know?
