I always use milk as they will lap it up. None of mine like the canned pumpkin or sweet potatoes. I don't have problems as mine eat carrots and green beens right out of the can frequently.

If they do seem constipated I actually put a few drops of mineral oil after feeding milk in their behind. It works with in a few hours at the most.

Stedman you go poo - poo so mom won't worry!

I hope today is the day for Stedman to do a great big poop.
Poor little guy. His tummy must be hurting. Gee Brook you have
done everything possible so finger's crossed today is the day.

HAHAHA!! You guys are sooo sweet, and I have to say, I got the biggest kick out of reading everyones comments rootin' for Steddy to POOP today! LOL!! :laugh: Cute, cute, cute!! :D

Here is a little update for ya: Last night hubby finally got him to go a little more....actually, he went twice, but not much each time. I don't think I even want to say what my hubby did to get him to go....LOL!!! I am too embarrassed and you would all probably think that we are seriously CRAZY :lol tears But hey, IT WORKED!! :D When hubby told me what he wanted to use on him, this was my face :eek: I had just never heard of such a thing LOL. He said he read it online somewhere and I have to tell ya, I thought he was absolutely insane but it really DID get him to go - so that's all that matters :D

Stedman must have jumped off the bed in the middle of the night and we didn't even know it, because when we woke up, there were FOUR poop spots in the house (mind you, Stedman NEVER EVER has accidents in here - EVER) - so, I think the canned pumpkin, sweet potatoes, olive oil and milk all kicked in finally, LOL. It had to be one of those things, or a mix of all of them because last night his little poops were firm and this morning they were way more loose, although still not the ugly D.....LOL.

So, as of last night/today he HAS gone....so I am going to wait on calling the vet. I'll see how he does today/tonight and if he starts having problems again then we will go see the vet tomorrow, but as of right now...he's ok and is acting pretty much like his old self again :D He is still not 100% "there" yet....but MUCH better than early yesterday :thumbup:

LOL I know!! :D Well heck, I figured that I would just try everything mentioned being that I really didn't know what was going to work for him...cause oh my goodness, the poor little guy was just in so much agony yesterday :( I honestly didn't even care if he DID have the ugly D....all I wanted was for him to GO...thank goodness he finally did! :cheer: :D :thumbup:

Steddy, we are all so happy to hear that you finally went! I'll tell you a secret about Toto ... shhhhh .... She had that problem once and we were soooo happy when she went, I made a picture of it!! It was the cutest little poop I had ever seen! :p

Well, when I was at the store yesterday, I had my eye on the blueberries....LOL....but decided to wait since you said that you hadn't talked to your vet about it yet :p But as for all the other things I gave him LOL...I didn't give those to him all at once HAHA....his little butt probably would have been like a fire hydrant :eek: LOL! I just tried them all throughout the day....just to see what would work best for him....well, looks like something worked LOL :laugh: I have never been so happy to see a dog take a POOP in all my life :D

And LOL about Toto's poop picture!!! HAHAHA! Girl, that is just TOO funny! Who knows, I probably would have done the same thing if all my camera batteries weren't dead, lol! :D

I remember when Buddy was so sick and had the runs for 2mos.
Vet said it was the food so I kept buying different food and donating
it to a resuce. Finally when he was diagnosed with a male parasite
and treated and finally did a REAL POOP I was dancing around in the street:p like a nut!

It iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis a happy poop day!:D

Both my furbabies get a good carrot and beans veggie onto their main meal daily . . . :) I but the frozen kind and mixed it with a spoonful of their wet dry food and add water so by the time I mix the wet and veggie to the kibble, it kinda looks like they are eating stew :thumbup: of course the icing is a dullop of either cottage cheese or activia yogurt - yummooooooo!

hope your little stud muffin feels better sooon . . . watch out when he finally relieves himself . . it might just be a mountain pile of poop :D
