| Yeyyyy Natural Balance! I went to get Chewy her NV Rabbit today and the store has been out for a few weeks. Shes been on it for a few months because shes allergic to most chicken and beef. So it was a tough decision BUT i decided to try the Natural Balance Salmon. She can only have Rabbit or fish and this food seemed to have great ingredients.SHE IS SUPER PICKY so i thought she would sniff it and leave. I asked her if she wants a treat and gave her on... she seemed to like it so i gave her a little in a kong!! Now she thinks its treats and is loving them. I hope this continues and she will eat it from the bowl as well... Do you guys think it would be alright if i alternated between the NV Rabbit and the Natural Balance Salmon?? |

| I think it would be great if you rotated the foods. That way she is getting two different protien sources and benefiting (sp) from the two different brands. I rotate foods with my two. They like the variety. Good Luck!!

| So in true Chewy fashion....everytime i think shes doing something right... she tricks me. I was trying to mix her new food in with her old food to avoid upset tummy and so I could continue rotating the food. Well NoW SHE REFUSES TO EAT HER OLD FOOD. Shes been eating it for months and now she wont even put one in her mouth. She seems to really like the Natural Balance and i have no problem with her eating it BUT I dont know if i like that shell be eating only Salmon as a protein. I feel like a dog should have some meat..? I hope she doesnt start itching from this food. Keeping my fingers crossed. |

| Now that I look at the ingredients closely, they are not as great as I thought... I guess theyre ok but not as good as the NV ingredients. Potatoes are number one... then salmon and then a bunch of chemicals and such. It may be because its an allergy formula. Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance® L.I.D.™ Sweet Potato & Fish Formula What do you guys think? |
