| Does Petsmart sell any decent kibble? I am currently giving Baxter Chicken Soup. I hate the way it smells. He seems to like it but is not overly fond of it and likes the cheap food that my outside dog is addicted to way better. Any suggestions will be welcome. I need something that doesn't have lots of filler in it or he becomes a poop machine. |

| PetSmart also sells Nature's Recipe venison and rice kibble. I've used it when I ran out of the food I order (Drs. Foster & Smith's). |

| It depends on which PetSmart you are going to and what you classify as 'decent.' I know ours has several...Wellness, Nutro, Blue Buffalo, to name a few. |

| I'm not well-versed on commercial foods, but I know ours sells Blue Buffalo that's supposed to be good.

| Petsmart does not have much to offer when it comes to high quality premium foods, however I would recommend that you read the ingredient labels in the premium section. Certain ones stand out compared to others, I recommend Blue Buffalo, & Wellness if they have it. Stay away from By-products, Corn, Wheat, Soy, Cane Molassas, Sugar, artificial perservatives, colors and flavors, and do some research on the internet. You won't believe what is in some of the other dog foods (grocery brand), that is why I am switching to raw. But for a great premium kibble you may need to look at an independent pet feed store or boutique, look for holistic, natural, and grain free if possible such as Wellness Core, Taste of the Wild, Orijen, Nature's Variety Instinct, Evo, just to name a few. When to do the switch? All you have to do is transition them into whatever food you would like over a two week period. Depending on what you are feeding now, your dog may have a reaction such as vomiting, or diarreaha, if you switch from a low quality to a premium because premium is nutritionaly dense and sometimes they can be sensitive the first couple of days. First couple of days do 25% new to 75% old, then the next few days, do 50% new to 50% old, then 75% new to 25% old, until the last couple of days of the 2nd week until you are doing 100% new. Should you switch? That depends on what you are feeding now. If it is a grocery brand or other low quality, I would say make the switch to something more nutritious it will be worth it for your dog in the long run. |

| Pepper gets Nutro Ultra for puppies. He loves it. But he is a little pig. I think he would eat anything I put in front of him.
