YT 500 Club Member | Another pumpkin question I know that I asked this before, but I have to ask again. Someone answered my question about pumpkin saying that it is a regulator. So if a dog gets loose stools, giving pumpkin will help make them firm? My daughter was visiting this weekend, and I told her that. She said her vet told her it gives dogs the runs. What will it do if I give it to her when she has a problem? I bought the pumpkin and have small bites frozen just in case.

| pumpkin, miraculously, does both. It helps with constipation and diarrhea. It HAS to be pure pumpkin. Layla is 6 lbs and i'd be happy if i could get 1 tsp in her (dogs tend to not like it) |

| My little Lulu is 2 months old and had a constipation prob a little while ago. The vet said to mix PURE pumpkin in with her food. She loves it and it keeps her regular. DO NOT give it if they have the runs or loose stools. It has a lot of fiber in it.

YT 500 Club Member | Okay, that was my question. You said do not give it if they have loose stools. However, now I am getting conflicting information. Some are saying to give it if they have loose stools. I don't have to worry about constipation. I need something for the other problem occasionally.
