				   |      Well my pup is 5 months today and is scheduled for her spay on June 2nd, five days shy of her 6 month bday. is this a good time? do you think its too late?early?    thanks

				   |      From what I understand, you want to have them spayed before their first heat and most females go into heat around 8-9 months? I'm not sure so don't take my word but 6 months sounds about right.

				   |      Yes, that's a great time.  The traditional age has always been 6 months and many vets still wait until then.  Many are spaying/neutering earlier now as well.  You definitely want to have it done by 6 months as she can go into heat anytime after that.
