Come to think of it, maybe they aren't sending it for culture since it probably isn't a bacteria problem. Cysto is still the fastest way but that would explain why they aren't insisting on it. |

Baby onsie 4 Attachment(s) Tucker got neutered today and I put a onesie on himm so he didn't have to wear the cone to keep from irritating the wound. I got the idea right here on YT so I thought it was only fair to pass it along. Here are some pictures of Tucker today after his surgery and in his onsie. |

Try not to worry... I know how hard it is, but really until you hear it from the vet you are going to torture yourself. You can't know until they tell you. We all do this, we think and think and go crazy and sometimes it is such a simple little thing. Your baby is in my prayers, and I hope you can try to put this in God's hands and have some peace. Maybe it is all ok and nothing at all... I can't tell you how many pap smears I have had that came back abnormal, only to do them again and have them be fine! I take it one step at a time now....;) |
Hi just hoping that Bella is OK. I saw your other posts but I haven't been on YT as much these days. I didn't post on this thread since I don't have answers to your questions but so glad that many have come to help answer you. Prayers coming to both of you. :hands: :hands: :hands: |
Bloodwork Painmeds to bring home Isoflourine (sp?) anesthetic She will be monitered when having the surgery by machines She can come home the same day This what they had for my Tiffanie, Ours just said General Anesthesia, Anesthetic Monitoring, Metacam Per CC- Injectable, and pain meds for home, I'm glad we did the blood work (PRE-OP Panel SA) too, The pain meds for home was up to us, they told me some people just throw a fit if they go ahead and add the pain med without asking if they want them, I ask why they said some people don't want they for home! I couldn't belive that someone wouldn't want pain meds for home, I mean I wouldn't get my tubes tied and not have any pain meds for home! I didn't want Tif to suffer any or be in any pain. As far as blood work that was our choice too but none of mine had never had any surgeries so I wanted it done just in case, everything turned out fine for our baby and she never really bothered her stitches at all, she was so stubborn I just knew she'd have them ripped out but she didn't and she just licked them a little which they said was fine as long as she didn't do it to much & we didn't have to have the cone, but the onesie is a great idea tho!! I was scared to death but they said Tiffanie was so good for them, they let her lay on the floor while they operated on 2 others and then they did her as soon as they we're done they called me and told me she was doing great!!! I was ticked to death. Oh & she came home the same day too, I crated her as she still had some puppies here with us and I didn't want any of them to bug her but she was a pure angel!!! I hope all goes well with her and keep us updated. Hugs & Best Wishes. |
Lucy had abnormal blood work before her spay too, it was a long process 2 full blood panels, 2 acid bile tests, and an x-ray of her liver. Plus I brought in a urine sample. Lucy is trained for outside so I just took a disposable glad plastic wear (like tupperwear) and when she went to squat I just stuck it under her and caught it that way. She didn't like that but I needed a sample and that was the best way for me. So if you haven't gotten one yet. Try that. |
Also, when Lucy's bloodwork came back abnormal. I switched her diet to Wellness Puppy 5 Supermix, which has a single protein source and also got Missing Link and it seemed to elevate her low levels and decrease her high levels. Keep us updated. |
She's Healthy!!!! I'm soo happy and relieved! Everything went good for the most part today! My fiance took her urine sample in today for me since I was at school all day, and everything came back ok, for the most part. Her kidney enzymes are low because she's getting to much protein from her diet, so we are switching foods immediatly next week! I really don't want to switch her food before the surgery because I don't know if that will upset her stomach or not. As for the high glucose though, they said that that can vary, but they are going to test again to make sure she's not diabetic. They told him their going to give her another blood and urine test the morning of her spay, so I'm assuming that that is when their going to test for diabetes. Right now I'm so thankful that her kidney's are o.k though! Thank you everyone for all the prayers and wishes for her, I believe that has a huge impact on the results and I AM soo greatful for the kind words and support and advice you guys are giving me on here! It makes going through this a lot easier then sitting here worrying and letting my mind wondering. I'm still praying that she's not diabetic, since the levels weren't that high I honestly don't think she is. I don't know, in my heart I feel she's not, so I hope I'm right. |
