I am counting the minutes and freaking out!!!

Is it 4pm yet?????

Pixie and Chynna are getting Spayed today! I took them in at 8am this morning... I hated leaving them!!!! And now I don't get them till 4pm!


My poor babies are right now!

Everyone keep your and say a prayer for my girls!

They are going to be all when I get them cause I paid for the extra pain injection to be given right before they go home. I just dont want them in pain!


I just miss my girls so much!!! Coming home and not having them at the door was the worst feeling ever! I just cant even begin to picture my life without my baby girls!


Just keep good thoughts for my girls today!!!! And pray that this day flys for me! Every minute really feels like an hour!

(even taking the extra time to pick out all the smilies didn't eat up much time! )

Spay days are just sooooo long.

I put off doing pixie for over 2 years! And now that Chynna is ready I figured it would be best to have them both down at once and not one down and the other running circles! lol But it forced me to face my fear of fixing Pixie... she's 4lbs but that is so small to me and all the stories and all the risks... I'm such a chicken! I know that the risks associated with NOT having her fixed are far greater than the small risk in fixing her... so few really do die in the process... but we hear of one we know and that does it! We are convinced it shouldn't be done!


I know a couple who have died.. I also have known hundreds and hundreds in my life that have lived and been cancer and complication free as a result. So I know I am doing the right thing!

I'm just scared to death!

Just as scared as when I went under to have my own tubes tied! LOL But I was no 4 pounder! LMAO

Awww, No worries they are much better off this way. I got my Chloe who is 4lbs also spayed (in fact she was probably closer to 3lbs) and she came through it just fine...she's since been put under again for teeth pulling and to fix a luxating patella and also came out of that just fine. These little dogs are very resiliant despite how little they can sometimes be...of course we don't want them to be small but ocassionally we get a "little foot" as I call Chloe. They should come out of it just fine sweetie. I hope your day goes by fast and you get your babies home safe and warm.

Now chynna has only had one heat and boy was that hell!

I had intended to fix pixie after her first heat, but I thought it would never come... till she was 18 months! And by then I had read so many horror stories I was afraid to do it! and her cycle was so easy to deal with that i was not RUNNING to the vet to "fix" things! lol

Now Chynna Bled like a stuck pig! And boy was that a nightmare! and she started full on a few days before I left town for 14 days, so my Hubby had to deal with the bulk of it! I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled he was with that! LOL

But he did good! Not a single spot on the sofa and NO diaper chafing on Chynnas naked skin! He is a champ!

I waited til Ellie was 6 to get her spayed and that is only because her new vet really wanted to do it.

I was just asking because you said something about preventing cancer and any dog who has been through three heats is not protected from it at all (except for uterine which isn't that common) even if they are spayed. It does prevent pyometra and a few toher things though.

Your tellin me! I would have sold the farm to pay for extra pain meds after that surgery! I thought I was going to die! The extra gas trapped under my diaphram was the worst feeling in the world! Not to mention the being cut up part! LOL

And the gals at the counter say... No the dogs will be fine after a couple of hours... with a blank look on their faces... Are you kidding me?? Do I have STUPID written on my forhead??? No they won't! Its gonna HURT! They will hurt! For a while, days! DUH!

I allways paid more for the best pain meds, cant stand to see them in pain...on top of that i made them give me some pain meds for at home, they put the meds in syringes, that made it allot easier to give !
Will be saying a prayer for your girls, and may your day go by fast, go shopping to keep your mind off. Thats what i did, as i dont get to go shopping much alone anymore as i allways have the brats with me !
