| OFA Certification With all the talk on here lately about testing dogs, I asked my vet today about getting Zoe OFA certified and she said they do that there but not typically until they are 2 years of age and that she has to be anesthetized for this procedure. I did not know they needed to be put under and now I'm not sure what to do. Do any of you out there get OFA certifications? |

| I don't think 100% of dogs have to be put under...not quite sure.

| When I OFA'd my Labs, they were put down as there cant be any movement while doing the x-ray. They were required to be 2 years of age. |

| http://devinefarm.net/health/ofavets.htm This is for big breeds...it's the first thing that came up. So it can be done, but I don't know about the knees.

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | One of my Rotties had to be tranquilized (my female) my male listened very well and laid still enough for the X-ray. I didntlike the thought of having to medicate if it wasnt needed and it wasnt for Dozer
