SOFT, CHEWY *HEALTHY* Treats???
 
Just wondering what treats you guys buy your babies that are HEALTHY and SOFT?? There are alot of great treats out there, but my babies will almost never eat the hard, crunchy treats and I can't seem to find any that are healthy around here that are the soft and chewy.

Also, I need to make sure that they aren't fattening at all as Tatum is on the chubby side. She and Stedman are both on a feeding schedule now and I want to be able to give them a healthy little treat/snack that they will enjoy during the day in between meals :)

P.S. - We don't have Petco here, only Petsmart :( I don't mind ordering them something online, so if any of you have any websites to share, please feel free to post them! :D

Well we only would stick to Buddy Biscuits (Soft and Chewy kind) Bailey LOVES these and now we have a 2nd treat that Bailey loves and they are made by YTer the treats are called Diggy Kisses!!!

Bailey is also a picky eater and we also stay away from the hard treats.

Buddy Biscuits Peanut butter flavor and Simon and Huey's most any flavor. My girls also love pill pockets!

Omg, I am such a dork! :rolleyes: I totally forgot about the chewy Buddy Biscuits! :eek: I ordered them online for Stedman sooo long ago and ran out (he really liked them!) and I guess I just completely forgot about them. I know Tatum would love them too (she loves everything LOL)...I'll have to get some more ;)

Are the Diggy Kisses soft and chewy???

Brooke I just got a book of healthy pet recipes. I am going to try my hand at a few cookies this weekend. PM me your address and I will send you some of what I make. I want to make some soft and hard stuff. Also tell me if there is anything they don't like. I want to move away from the commercial made stuff and try to make a lot more of them at home for her.

Oh wow! Where did you find this book at??? I would LOVE to make them some treats at home! The chewy ones ;) I would actually much rather do that than buy them....especially if I have to order them online. That way, whenever I run out I can just whip up a batch at home...that would be GREAT! :D

We get Nutro Natural Choice Treats
We do the Chicken and Rice and Lamb and Rice Recipe.
We also have others but these are great and easy to break apart and make smaller for training.

There are lots of recipes on the web and I actually got two books at Borders. One is made by a doggie bakery that started in brooklyn and actually has several bakeries all over "Three Dog Bakery Cookbook". I also purchased " The Everything Cooking For Dogs Book"

I am going to return the first book and keep the second. It has way more recipes and it even had some stuff on raw feeding.

My girls LOVE the Wellness Pure Rewards (venison flavored). They're very easy to break into pieces.

Wow, thank you so much sweetie! :) :thumbup: These books sound wonderful, I am going to look into them!

I have bought my babies the Three Dog Bakery treats before...they were the cookies that looked like chocolate chip cookies...they did love them but they were big and SO hard for me to break apart. I'd love a little treat that I could just give them and they could gobble up :p I'd love to make them some up at home, that way they would be the perfect size ;) Also Diggy's mom is sending us some Diggy Kisses :D They sound great too and I'm sure my babies will love them!

If you're looking for Buddy Biscuits they are a Cloud Star product www.cloudstar.com - I think Petco might be carrying these now. Can't remember if anyone here has them on their website
