Can I give these two together? Tatum is on Nutramax Welactin 3 (from our vet)..she gets 1 pump full on her food every morning. I also just bought a bottle of VitaGlo Halo Dream Coat and was wondering if I could use this as well as the Welactin 3? I would call and ask my vet tomorrow, but I'm sure he is just going to say that he has no idea what the Dream Coat is  Here are links to both of them so that you can read the ingredients: Welactin 3: http://www.entirelypets.com/webynula...6-5d0b0a9f896a Halo Dream Coat: http://www.swansonvitamins.com/webap...rnDropBox=null Thank you so much for any help :) |
Both seem to be a supplement for the skin/coat full of fatty acids. I would not give both - you'll be overdoing it. Use one or the other |
that might be too much for little tate..i would only use one at a time..Give tate tate kisses for us! |
Ok, thanks guys...that's what I was thinking but I figured I would go ahead and ask, felt kinda dumb doing so...but I asked anyway LOL :p |
Hi Brooke! :D I would stay away from the Dream Coat for now - esp. w/ all of Tate's itchies right now; DC has soybean oil, other nut oils, wheatgerm oil - ALL potential allergens, which could irritate her already irritated system. The Welactin is Salmon based - MUCH easier for her to convert/digest (although, Welactin has a trace of soybean oil as well, but less of it; I would actually recommend Eicosaderm more than anything for EFAs....). :D |

My book is getting ready to be shipped!!!:) So they do explain the ca/phos thing? Did they do a horrible job? |

Well, I need to re-read it again...I didn't feel like they did a great job. IF there does seem to be something worthwhile, I'm going to scan that section for you...but I need to digest it first. (AH! Bad pun, not intended) |
