| Yorkie allergies I have a Yorkie that has come in contact with something that has irritated his eyes. He constantly is scratching them and opening them up. His environment has changed, and he is now around 3 other dogs of a different breed. Is this a allergic reaction to something? Can you please suggest a treatment for him. |

| You can give him some benadryl to find out if its an allergy... I give Chewy 1/3 of a tablet 3 times a day... so one pill in a 24 hour pd. If your baby is really little you may wanna try baby benadryl. |

| Are the dogs eyes red? Have you changed their food? What has been done different right before they started doing this? |

| Are your Yorkie's eyes red? This isn't something I would treat for at home. I just heard of a dog that had an extremely itchy ear and while he was scratching he hit is eye and kind of poked it out. Since your dog is actually scratching his eye I would take him to the vet as soon as possible.

| I was told by my vet red eyes are a beginning sign of dehydration, it the eyes are dry they can be irritated which could explain the rubbing. |

| Are you using any air fresheners like those plug-in type. I know things like that can really trigger allergies. |

| Mochi had allergies last week. She was doing like the scooting her butt (not exactly scooting) on the floor; she was trying to reach her butt area while whinning and crying at the same time. We ended up rushing her to the emergency. After doing all the test to see all the possibilities, the vet said she might had allergies due to something that she had contact with. The vet also said that they could develop allergies any time. Mochi had a shot at the emergency. We also told to buy the Bendyrl child formula to feed her with a syringe. She was on it for 2 days and now she is totally fine. I think you should take our baby to the vet and really check it up to see if it is something else or just allergies. Hope your baby feels better soon.
