Dog Food
 
I fee mine Natural Balance, its for puppies and adults. I have tried so many and they seem to like this, I feed them the kibbles "Potato and Duck" and the roll, (turkey).

I tried Natural Balance she won't eat it either???I do notice her itching alot>>>>What about Canidae??I wish I could find out about Life's Abundance????

My girls LOVE the LA food and treats and it is forumated by a holistic vet. All ingredients are made in america and the product is shipped straight to your house fresh from the manufacturing plant so it isn't sitting on store shelves or warehouses. There is also a great video to watch that will tell you about commerical dog foods and what is in them.

lulu, do you recommend the LA vitamins?

Yes, LA has wonderful vitamins, agility supplements and skin& coat tablets with the omega 3 fish oils. my girls get all of them but the agility and they are doing great. THe shampoo is also the best we have found for yorkie hair. :D
The food samples include a little vitamin to try too. :D
It is also an all life stages food so it is good for puppies, adults and seniors. The kibbles are tiny too! My girls love it!! i have the regular formula and the weight loss formula.

LA doesn't have to be refrigerated but it doesn't have preservatives in there so i keep it in an air tight container or in the refrigerator. With 4 little piggies, i buy the 20 lbs. bag but it really doesn't need to be kept there. Just don't keep it in the garage or anyplace where there isn't climate control. A pantry is perfect too. The bags are thick and seal tightly. i free feed so it is out all the time. i have never had a problem with it. Years ago when i would get commerical dog food, weavals would pop out in no time. I would throw it out. Now i know it was just old food! YUCK!! I can't believe what we used to feed before we knew better. UGH!! I was just trusting that it was good if the pet stores sold it...WRONG! What food is the "best" food depends on your dog. What is 'best' for one dog may not be 'best' for the next.

Although dogfoodanalysis.com is a good site, with lots of info, it is written entirely based on the opinion of the site owner(s), not long term, extensive research. Please do not use it as your only source while researching.

It will direct you to different publications and many links that examine commercial food, raw feeding, and homecooked. I would NOT recommend Royal Canine YT though--mine did not stomach it very well and there seem to be lots of people here who had problems with that one.

FuFu, How old are your yorkies and how much do they weigh?My Fergie is only 4 lbs. and she is 13 mos. old...

Well, my kissy would consider those very personal questions;)
She is my porkie yorkie and on the weight loss formula. She loves to
eat just like her momma! :p
Kissy is almost 7 years old at a tad over 8 lbs.:rolleyes:
Angel is almost 3 years old and 6 lbs.
Princess is almost 2 years and 3 lbs.
Candy is almost 10 months old at 2.75 lbs.

Although Kissy is the only one that should be on the weight loss formula, my other girls love it too so they all eat both mixed together.

i had bean on orijen for a year she gained 2 pounds, thats a lot of weight for a six pound dog. i had heard other dogs gained weight on it too, so i have now switched her onto timberwolf organics, the black forest venison and lamb and she has lost half of a pound and she loves the food. she has a waist line now.

Thanks for all of your replies. Noah is doing agility with me, and I have him on Eagle Pack fish now...he is doing well on it...and he has trimmed down and is a handsome guy...if I do say so myself!! :)
