You can talk to a nutritionist if you're not sure. Or try Dr. Pitcairn's book. Just do not feed grapes or onions like he suggests...:thumbdown I feel really bad for you right now.:) I know how hard this can be, so here is Ellie's recipe...maybe it will help you. 1 ounce white meat chicken (boiled with no seasonings, no fat or skin) 88 grams carb (brown rice, noodles) 60 grams mixed veggies (carrot, green bean, squash...) 1 tsp oil (olive, canola...) Supplements Cook everything except oil and supps. Mix. This is 24% protein and 18% fat. The only thing is it was made for Ellie, so you may have to feed more of this mixture in a day, or less... depending on weight. You can feed about 40 calories per day per pound and maybe less after spay/neuter. This is low protein, so you might want to give some yogurt or something or add more meat. But you still have the supplements to deal with and calcium needs to be added very soon. Don't forget when you use calcium you have to also give vitamin D (I think it is) and this is best found in certain foods. That is why I just use BalanceIT K.:) |
