Possible Solution to Skin Problem I have just had the same problem you are describing with my five year old male Yorkie. I took him to the vet and he said it was a bacterial infection and prescribed an antibotic (Cephalexin) and a shot. My Yorkie took the medication for two weeks and I still had basically the same problem. I started searching the Internet and looking through my own Yorkie books and came across a book entitled "Yorkies Head to Tail by Sandra Lemire. It turns out that this is the woman who started the Coat Handler Shampoo and Conditioner products. After reading on her website and in her book about how residue from shampoos and conditioners build up on the skin and eventually cause problems, I decide to try her products. I did exactly as her help line recommended: Bath once a week with Coat Handler Shampoo (15 to 1) and Conditioner (15 to1) and apply a product called Skin Works (its just a odorless, colorless cream) on the affected areas three times a day. I saw an immediate improvement and now in less than two weeks the problem is almost completely gone. I was told that I would probably have to bath him 6 times before I would completely remove all the residue buildup from his skin. I really hope you will try this product because you sound just as upset as I was.
