Honestly, it's good that she doesn't want to move too much. That gives her incision time to heal. Being too active at first can cause stitches to tear and her to hurt herself. A little pain is good for this reason - lets them know it hurts to move too much - and that way they heal well. She'll be feeling back to her old self before you know it

We picked Max up he was a little groggy at first. But, he seems alright. He doesn't seem to be in any pain. So I guess the shot did it's job.
However, Missy is shaking, she doesn't want to move at all. But, screams everytime one of us picks her up. I have never had any of them act like this after getting their shots. It has me very worried. :( Should I call the vet???

Thanks for the encouraging words. I feel so helpless. She has now taken up licking her stitches. I'm not sure how to get her to stop, except to put on a sweater. I haven't even been able to look at her stitches because I don't want to hurt her by moving her in a way that will be uncomfortable. Ugh! I just want her to feel better!

Yeah I would call the vet before they are gone for the day. That doesn't sound normal after getting shots.

I'm sorry your baby is uncomfortable.:( Ellie was like that the first night except she couldn't stand. By the next day she was begging for food and a week or two later she was normal. Please stop her from licking her stitches. This can cause infection and some other problems. The vet should've given you an e-collar or you can use a baby onesie. That has to stop...

Get a premie onsie. Lacy is 7lbs so I just got a newborn onsie for her, but you may need the premie size. That way she won't lick her stitches

I will get her one. So does it cover the whole butt, too? Thank goodness she doesn't have much of a tail! She seems to be moving around a little more, but she kind of shoots around like she has a piece of poo stuck to her bottom, but doesn't. Then she crashes into her bed and stays there for at least an hour at a time.

My lab didn't act like anything had happened when she was spayed. It was so hard to keep her from jumping, running and playing. I had to crate her with a kong to keep her quiet.

Bella was just spayed in October and she was very quiet. Cried the entire way home, suddenly was all about cuddling and being petted and didn't move very much for a few days. She left her stitches alone so I didn't onesie her like I had planned. But after a few days, she returned to normal and is now right back to her zoomies and crazyness. ;)

Yeah it covers them completely. I put Lacys' on backwards so her tail came out of one of the gaps where you snaped the ends together. you can also cut a hole for her tail
