Please pray for my Tinkerbell, she is sickie!! Tinkerbell started itching really bad to the point that she was drawing blood out of her ears and skin this week so I took her into see the vet and she got alot of medication:eek: :( My poor baby, she doesn't have fleas, never has, she doesn't have mites just itchy:( She had an ear infection, she got a shot today and ear stuff to clean her ears:eek: then she has to take pills, and liquid medicine:eek: and also some oil stuff(like omega and salmon, fish oils) everyday in her food:eek: Please pray for my Tinkosh:( I am so sad for her:( What could it be?? Winter itch? He said that if she doesn't get better he is going to put her in a special diet and and test her for allergies?:( he said that the last resort is to draw blood for testing because of tinkerbell's size he thinks it could affect her:( she is 5.1lbs |

I am so sorry and hope she feels better real soon! I had this same problem and I had to switch food. Once I did that- All was well!:D |

Ear infections can be very hard to work with and can be painful so don't stop the meds early. I had a bit of a problem like this once and changed foods and it helped so much but this may be caused from something very different. I'll keep her in my prayers Hugs, Joan |

God bless you and your little one. Ear infections can be a real nightmare. If she doesn't clear up or if they recur, PLEASE do the allergy testing. I'm a big believer in finding out what allergies are present. Chronic ear infections are no fun.:( That being said, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is a "once and done" event.:) |

sorry Tink is so itchy. as stated before, please be sure to use the medication for the alloted number of days. If you stop early the infection can come back stronger then before. Also what your vet said about not drawing blood because she is small is crap honestly. The blood draw is not necessary right now, but it can be done. They only take 3ccs of blood and she'll be perfectly fine. What type of food is Tink on? If he's thinking its food allergies, he's gonna want to put her on a prescription diet which isn't all to great. We might be able to help you find a better food now to help the itchies go away. |

Nutro is an OK food but not the best if your concerned about allergies. If you suspect allergies and you can only get to a petco or petsmart store there are some better choices to choose from. natural balance Potato and duck Natural balance sweet potato and fish blue buffalo fish and sweet potato solid gold barking at the moon |

please pray for my Tinkerbell 1 Attachment(s) So sorry. Tricksie has itchy skin, but I started using the Mink Sheen shampoo and Main n Tail Moisturizer @ Conditioner, I rub it in really good for a few min. It seems to have helped her a lot. Good Luck. |

Yes, what Kalina82 said. And if a vet told me that it would affect Ellie to draw blood (at about 5 1/2 pounds) I would find another vet. Ellie had blood drawn for a preprandial bile acid test, postprandial bile acid test, blood panel, parvo titer test and distemper titer test in the same day and she wasn't affected one bit... |

I've just read this... poor baby. Milo also has an ear infection, it's hard on them - and on you when you have to apply the ear stuff. Hope Tinkerbell gets better really soon. Milo sends a wet kiss, as well. |
