Mine had some turkey. They do every year with no problems |
mine eats turkey too, raw and cooked, with no problems. i think you just need to know your dog and don't give them too much of something their not used to. moderation is key. |
Lacy's eaten raw turkey too. Turkey is fine in moderation...it's the greasy, fatty skin that you don't want to the dogs to eat too much of |
i gave gino a small amount of the white meat and it was skinless and well cooked. Wish i saw this before i did, but hes fine...playing like a maniac hours later :) |
Thanks for the info!!! I gave Koda a bit of white meat...I give her turkey breast once in a while and my vet told me it was ok as long as I was not feeding her the dark meat:confused:   |
OMG, I didn't know that! |
That's why as pricey as it can be, I always buy organic meat. I don't take chances on my or my wee one's health. |
wow..that is very interesting, I've never heard about that. |
I gave Gizmo a little of my very dry turkey and his belly grumbled most of the night. He never eats anything but his dog food. I also gave him a couple of small pieces of apple that he adored, where was my head. During the night last night he had me outside with him and he was gourging on grass like a cow. I gave him some pepto and he went to sleep. If there is still a problem today we will check with the doc. Poor Gizmo.:animal-pa |

I'll be sure today that no-one gives her any left overs, Lauren:) |
Wow, I had absolutely no idea. My mom used to home cook and the meat she used was ground turkey. I guess she was lucky with the brand she bought or her dogs weren't sensitive. |
Maize and Lacie had no problems with turkey... Or pumpkin pie, or stuffing.. :) |
