no.:( i want to hear an update too!! i havent been on much at all these past couple days..hard with family/thanksgiving, ya know? hopefully she is just busy with that stuff??;)

I am also a bit worried. I just left a message on her mobile, so hopefully we will hear something soon. Ronda seemed pretty sure Teddi's results would be out Friday, but perhaps with the long weekend they did not come out.

I saw your message, just as I got off the phone with Ronda. She has been staying with her family the past few days, and left her cell phone and computer at home. Teddi's results will only be out on Monday. She has being doing better this weekend, although the poor little girl seems to be having "flash-backs" of her trauma last week, and has nightmares, cries in her sleep. She will also do the same when she hears sounds that remind her of the hospital. Argh! It just breaks my heart. If you had to see this tiny little girl,:aimeeyork you would want to scoop her up and cuddle those fears away.
I am sure Ronda will post more here on Monday. I am so glad it was a holiday weekend because Mommy and baby have spent all their time together.

Thanks for asking about Mango. She had a little relapse yesterday, so I have been sticking close to home because I am so worried about her and need to watch her for more vomiting.

Thanks for the update. I was getting a little worried, not having heard anything. I figured the results probably wouldn't get in until Monday. I know Ronda must be on pins and needles.

OOPS! I want to add one more thing about Teddi, because I think it is so encouraging in the progress she is making. She has had no further episodes of that severe disorientation she showed last week. This means that the medication is working well to remove the toxins in her blood that were causing the "drunkenness". YAY!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I hope Mango starts feeling better soon!! She's probably all out of wack since she got that food, the other day. Then who knows what else she picked up(leaves, grass, etc.) and with Thanksgiving, your mom visiting, etc. she is probably just not used to it all..(schedule, etc.) ?? keep me posted. XO. hope you had a great Thanksgiving though!! and give cutie lil Mango a kiss from us!!;) (Avie has been sleeping ALL day-we've been at my moms most of the weekend..and she's POOPED from playing so hard with the other 2 dogs!! she ate some of their food-(i let her) but she was swallowing it WHOLE:eek:-she probably thought it was a treat!!haha. but anyways.. she threw up also-but it was whole food-(she wouldnt chew it and ate alot-then went and played and played and played and...you get the picture-hehe. she's a lil goofball!! but im not worried-only cuz I KNOW why she did!!:rolleyes: haha. but like i said-hopefully Mango is the same situation..just off her schedule/not used to the food!!;) XO. if you need ANYTHING-please let me know!!(i know im soooo far and all..haha. just kidding!!):p

Awww, poor little baby Teddi! :( I hope she starts to forget soon. I'm glad that they got to spend the weekend together though, I bet that made Teddi feel a little better.

I'll look out for Rhonda's posting on Monday with the results... my fingers are still crossed for them...

Poor Mango too... I thought she was doing much better, bless her little heart. I hope she makes a full recovery soon. Me and Gypsy send her puppy kisses and love.

Oh Ronda how did I miss this? You and Teddi have really been through the ringer. I am so sorry for all y'all have been through but I'm happy to see the updates are looking good. I'll say a prayer that those test results are what you want to here and I'm sending both of you hugs.

Ronda - I'm sorry to hear Teddi is having nightmares about her experience at the hospital. It must've been so scary for her! Let's just hope the test results lead you to something to treat the problem so she doesn't have to spend anymore time in the hospital!!!!!!!!! Let us know when you get the results!

Hi Everyone!

I spoke to Teddi's doctor and she said the shunt is the one that is going around the liver and is operable. I have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow at 9:30 am to go over the test results and to get more info. The doctor I spoke to today said they like her to be on meds for at least 10 days before they do surgery. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

That's good news that it's operable... poor little Teddi. I hope everything goes well with the surgeon tomorrow!

Omg, so Teddi does have a liver shunt? I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you both make it through safely. You guys are in my prayers.

Well, I'm sorry it's indeed a liver shunt, but at least it's operable! I'll continue keeping you and Teddi in my prayers! Sukoshi says Teddi has to get better so she can play with her at the next meet-up!!!

That is the news you were hoping for - that Teddi's condition can be mended with surgery. I know it's scary, but just remember how well she came through the anesthesias before!
Is she still having doggie nightmares? Give that precious little Angel a cuddle from me. Please let me know if there is absolutely anything I can do for you. I am only a phone call away.

From the research I have done, those that have the surgery, stand an excellent chance of a normal life post-op. We want our little pal to be able to play with Sukoshi and Mango VERY soon:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork.

Have Ronda tried contacting the breeder? I know that Teddi's parents are in Korea, but I think they should stop breeding if one of the pups have liver shunt.

I pray Teddi's surgery will be successful and that she will have a speedy recovery.

I know it's not the best news but now you know what needs to be done to help her. The worst part is the "Not Knowing" and that's behind you now.

I'm glad that the shunt is operable and we all know Teddi will be 100% better! Keep us updated with any news and don't feel like you can't call me or Lauren, or Lisa if you need to talk. We are all here for the two of you!

I talked to the doctors and they said that people think that the parents should be tested and that it has something to do with that but they said that has never been proven. They said it is something that just happens and they have never been able to trace it back to anything, including the parents. He said that it is a myth that if the parents are tested and are clean that the puppies will not have it....he said a lot of people believe that but that is not the case.

I am glad to hear the shunt is operable. Teddi is in our prayers for a speedy recovery.
