I guess some meats are just too gamey. |
Reese was really picky with her kibble as well. She would smell it, walk away, and pick on it throughout the day probably because she was starving and had no choice but to eat it. With the raw, I have tried a few things, including a nibble on a chunk of turkey neck at Thanksgiving (totally grossed my family out) but I had to take it from her because I was afraid she would choke on it (gulper) and some venison that my father's friend got from our property. Haven't met a meat yet that this dog won't chomp on...and the bones went down like butter!!! haha |
So was SoCo, he would only eat his kibble with wet food mixed in or if I hand fed it. Not so amusing at 8 am when I went to bed at 3-4 (I work nights from home) and it takes 30 mins to feed a handful of kibble. I think unless he had a severly adverse reaction there's no way I'm taking him off raw - he LOVES it! |
