Ya know, what's funny is my baby was soooooo very picky. Now, since starting raw, she eats like there is no tomorrow! I really have to watch her weight. It is just amazing. The only thing you could count on her eating was cheese....now, she could take it or leave it! She wants raw all the way!!! The only think so far I have found that she does not care for is the rabbit.

We have not found any duck yet....I did see a goose while shopping for the Thanksgiving turkey and started to get it....till I saw the price:eek:

I guess some meats are just too gamey.

Reese was really picky with her kibble as well. She would smell it, walk away, and pick on it throughout the day probably because she was starving and had no choice but to eat it. With the raw, I have tried a few things, including a nibble on a chunk of turkey neck at Thanksgiving (totally grossed my family out) but I had to take it from her because I was afraid she would choke on it (gulper) and some venison that my father's friend got from our property. Haven't met a meat yet that this dog won't chomp on...and the bones went down like butter!!! haha

So was SoCo, he would only eat his kibble with wet food mixed in or if I hand fed it. Not so amusing at 8 am when I went to bed at 3-4 (I work nights from home) and it takes 30 mins to feed a handful of kibble. I think unless he had a severly adverse reaction there's no way I'm taking him off raw - he LOVES it!

Sorry your having sure a hard time getting them to eat rmb's, it must me really frustrating. Honestly, I think what you will have to do is choose an rmb that you want them to eat, bring it out for them, if they won't eat them then put them back on the fridge and offer the same rmb's at the next meal and so on. They will eat them when they are hungry enough, but at the moment they have probably learnt that if they don't eat them you will start cutting the meat off making it easy for them. Once they do start to eat them, i'm sure they will take to them.

Well, though they need the variety I'm just as glad they don't care for rabbit. It, too, is cost prohibitive. We don't even eat rabbit!

Ya, I guess it depends on your source. The only rabbit I feed is very occasionally ground rabbit because I know somewhere that sells it, I can't really source it any other way. But, I do know another raw feeder who gets whole rabbits for £1 (about $2) from her butcher. Myself, I don't even think I could hold a whole rabbit as I have pet rabbits!
