Raw Meaty Bones Let's talk Raw Meaty Bones for a minute. Exactly what type of bones are we talking about as being ok for small breed dogs? Are chicken legs, wings and thighs ok? What about turkey legs, wings and things? What other RMB's can I use for right now because Codie may be allergice to chicken/turkey? What about rabbit? Would rabbit legs be good? Sorry to ask such basic questions but I want to go and buy some RMB's tonight and I want to make sure I buy the right ones (ones that will not damage their teeth, like marrow bones). Thanks ladies!! PS - THANK YOU for all of your help!! I'm so happy we made the switch!! You ladies are amazing!! |

With the poultry allergy thing, I know I probably sound crazy..I just want to start her on something completely new to see if it works and then I at least have a baseline, ya know?? |
Vitamin C How many days a week would I have to feed RMB's to ensure that they're getting enough vitamin C for me not to have to supplement them on it (by mixing it in with their ground meat)? I guess that's my concern. Should they eat RMB's EVERY DAY? What about every other day? What about 3 times a week? How much is enough to be sure that they're getting enough vitamin C? |

While we talking RMBs, let's not forget that the emphasis is on the MEATY. The dog's mainstay should be MEAT from whatever protein source you choose. |

Just be sure they are consumable bones. NOT rec (wreck) bones. <tags lara>...I'm going to bed. Been up since 4:00am  later, y'all |

They are large hard bones such as beef bones or the leg bones of large animals, they are too dense to be consumed so are often called wreck bones as they have the potential to break teeth. |
