| Heat Hi, it's been a while... Bit is having her first heat, she's 9 month old. Actually I believe it's the second one, I think she had a sort of "mini-pre-heat" when she was 5 month (is it possible?) but it didn't last long and was very soft. Now... She really bleeds a lot... when I say a lot I mean spots as big as a fingerprint... I never had a female before so I'm totally new at this, but my brother has a whippet and he says she leaves really tiny spots. Is this normal? How long does it last? How long before the next one? Thanks! |

| Those are big spots for a Yorkie. Ellie's spots (after laying somewhere for awhile) were smaller than a pencil eraser. Is she acting normal?

| By the way, dogs can go into heat as often as every four months, I believe, so that could be normal.
