| Essential oils Hello everyone: This is my first post, I have been browsing since last week, and already I have learned so much information for the 12 month puppy I purchased on May 18, 2007. The Yorkie that I have is a good dog thus far, but I noticed that his coat was a little dry towards the ends; I have read previous threads about dryness. Yesterday, I put 2/3 drops of Grapeseed Oil in the shampoo bottle; I also placed 2/3 drops of Lavender oil. Today, was the trial day, and I noticed a remarkable difference, so much healthier and very shiny. Tulip |

| I also am new to YT.. any other tips that you can offer? My Brody has soft cottony hair and I was wondering what the best shampoo would be for that type of hair...

One of mine has cottony hair and I have tried a zillion shampoos. What works best so far is Coat Handler shampoo and conditioner. Also using SeaBreeze oil very sparingly and diluted with water helps a lot. Good luck! | |

| Hello tjdmom: Essential oils can be found at a very good health store. I am not sure what state your live in, but when using these oils try to make sure that you are only using 2/3 drops and not more. Both oils are great for the human skin, I found that after one shampoo, on the pup his coat turned out nicer and not dull looking. When I first got the pup, his coat looked like that of a teenager, who has used the b-dryer one too many times. DO NOT BUY CHEAP oils. Tulip Last edited by Tulip; 06-04-2007 at 10:48 AM. |
