I pay $20 to get Max groomed here and usually give her a $5-$10 tip. |
I'm in Florida and my groomer comes to our home and charges $40 . I have asked for different types of haircuts and she does exactly what I wanted each time.Very nice to deal with too! I've called around ,called around and the going price is $40-$45. I found one that charges $50 & up! no matter what size dog or haircut Genie Cookie Lola Angel |
I took both Abby & Alphy in for the works and they only charged me $70 for both. I couldn't believe they charged me the same for my golden. I paid $65 at petsmart just for Abby. I tipped them very nicely. :D |
I'm a groomer in Central California and I charge $36 for bath/nails/ears cleaned and plucked if needed/anals/shave pads and sanitary/ears tipped/feet and bangs trimmed. For all the above and a full haircut it's $53. I think it's a pretty normal price for my area. I work in a salon setting (Not in a PetSomething). No one complains about the price and I get pretty good tips. |
Local groomer charges $35 unless you are on a 2 wk maintenance plan & then its $23. Do any of you take yours ever 2 wks?:) |
Here on Long Island I used to pay 66$ plus 10$ tip, but on a recommendation, I found another groomer and itz 48$ plus 10$ tip ... so I am saving 18$ and since I now have 2 dogs to do, itz a considerable savings. Those prices include the tax. I am alternating each one every 6 weeks.:animal36 do you all tip? I wasn't sure (4 years ago with Monday) so I tipped, and now I couldn't stop. And even though I switched groomers, I feel I should tip. |

I'm in central NJ and I pay 30.00 each and she refuses to take a tip but I have used the same groomer for the past 25 years. I don't know what I going to do when she retires. |
I pay $35 for each of mine. But I love the groomer. It's basically a puppy play day while they wait for their turn. Plus she does a great job with them!! |
I'm in Oklahoma, and I pay about $35.00 per doggie. And I take them every 6 to 8 weeks. :) |
I live in NY in Queens and when i took Rocky to get groomed it was $55 they bathed him and they pulled his hair from ears. Gave him a summer cut, trimmed his nails and blow out his hair plus a $10 dollar tip. Now i brush his teeth, cut his nails and cut his hair down myself, trim hair on his pads, trim all private areas and all for a lick on the face :teethysmi afterwards which is way more rewarding to me. My vet told me his ears are clean and that i should pull his hair out from his ears because it opens up the pores and can be a cause for infection if dirt or anything else goes in them. |
10 for just normal trimming or 20 for bathing and whole body trimming in south louisiana |
I pay $25 plus tip and Maggie goes every 4 weeks. |
I'm very lucky. I met an internationally awarded master groomer walking her dog in my neighborhood. She came to my house and only charged me $35. She has now become my friend and we are bartering services. I'm going to watch her dog and feed her cats while she is in Chicago for a week each month and she is at my disposal for even a bath if I so choose. She has been in the business for like 40 years. Plus she is a gas!!!! |
