I'm glad to hear she is doing better..Poor little girl...Lillie will probably need to be cut this summer, although she is getting better about the brushing. But, I will cut her myself...I don't care if it doesn't look professional..I am just really nervous about leaving her..

Ummmm...yes, she is a dog. I know, I refer to my yorkies as "my babies" and "the kids" all the time, but the reality is they are dogs. I don't know what happened at the groomers but I just wanted to mention that sometimes puppies will scream the first time at a groomers. It doesn't necessarily mean they are being hurt or mistreated. I have seen puppies scream for literally no reason during grooming on their first visit. The best thing the groomer can do is stay calm and wait out the temper tantrum and the instant the dog calms down, praise her and call it quits. Even if it means sending the puppy home with an uneven hair cut. End on a good note but don't give in the the tantrum. Often the next visit they are perfectly fine because they realize that no one hurt them last time. Some of my best groom dogs were very difficult as puppies.

Wow, you got 8-10 inches?? It is snowing down here, but just very lightly. But I guess if you live up near mt rose there would be a lot of snow:p

Here are a couple of pics today, one is of Angel's haircut, the other is Angel out in the snow. It is still snowing pretty hard here. They closed down Mt Rose Hwy so my son couldn't get to work and my hubby and his buddies went skiing anyway even after their classes for the day were cancelled..die hard skiers! I hope they can get home ok....

I am sorry you had a bad experience. That groomer soounds like she is very rude. Our first grooming expeience wasnt a good one either. The groomer said Chachi wasnt good for her. Chachi acted different after he went there and My Husband suspects she did something to him. I didnt give up on groomers but i tried another one. This groomer loves My dogs. She even kept them for us when we went on vacation to Florida. I dont agree that pups cry out and are nervous at the groomers. A good groomer knows how to reasure them. I am so glad I found My groomer she is a God send

I'm afraid I'd had way too many things to say to that woman, as my babies are my children!

Neither of mine have ever been to a "groomer", and never will go with the horror stories I hear from you all!

As long as I can buy shampoo, clippers, scissors and Cowboy Magic, I can do it myself!

I agree...today I trimmed up Angel, washed her face, cleaned her eyes and all she did was lick me...I need to know what the best kind of dog clippers are so I can start pricing them.

That groomer had no right to be rude to you! Who is she to tell you how to treat your dog?

Oh, what a doll!! Wow, you really did get a lot of snow up there. It was stormy all day, but nothing really stuck.
I wish it would snow so hard I wouldn't have to go to work tomorrow. Oh well.....
