Yorkie bangs?
 
Does anyone keep there yorkie with bangs? I have seen a lot of pics and most are all one length and pulled back into the bow, but I cant stand it when Kloeys gets to long, but not long enough to pull into the bow!

Bailey has always had bangs/ hair visor, but lately I have been letting them grow to pull up, well yesterday for 20 mins I tried to tie em up, then I tried the clippy, well everytime I got even close to getting it in, he'd move or shake,and I have NO luck!
So, now I'm thinking,WHY am I letting them grow out, if I'm never gonna be able to pull em up?? I don't know what I'm gonna do now... Maybe next time I bathe him I'll put some spray on em and slick em back,, and see how that looks, to keep em out of his face. And If I don't like that look, I'll be cutting them again. :rolleyes:

Chachi gets bangs in his eyes when I dont keep him groomed. We are going to try to keep his short from now on so he doesnt have those. Jewels has bangs but we have let hers grow out. There is enough to put in a topknot. If the hair is in the inbetween stage and you are letting it grow out you just have to be patient untill you can put a topknot in.

do you groom him yourself? I was thinking maybe if you took him to a groomer, he would let the groomer put the bow in. I have been putting Kloey's hair in a pony tail ever since I have had her, so she is just used to me doing it, she just lays her head down while I put it up, then when I'm done she tries to shake, but it still dont fall out, I do use the small rubber bands, they tend to stay in better and then I just take them out at night. I dont put her hair up everyday, but I do on the weekends or if were going somewhere.

No I don't groom him myself, but he is due to go,and I thought about seeing if she could put on in.. I think I will,and see if I like the way it looks, I KNOW daddy won't like it, but oh well.

You could slick the hair back with vaseline. I only did that once.. I just let them go natural. But I hated that inbetweeen time also.

I was keeping all three of mine in bangs until recently. Suddenly, all three of them have started parting down the middle so the hair falls to the side of their eyes. i just kind of cut at an angle to keep it out of their eyes.

With eight of the little wonders running around and playing hard, it's difficult to keep top knots in so I solved the problem by keeping their bangs cut short.

Sissy has bangs. I keep her in a puppy cut. The bangs are a little short for putting her hair in a pony, but it does help keep it out of her eyes (for the short time she'll keep the pony in). I'm thinking of letting the bangs get a little longer - that is if she will continue to adjust to her pony...

Right now my guys are still little, I am able to put Ollie's in a band and she now leaves it in all week.

With my previous adult yorkies, I would keep those cut short that want to fall forward, and those that stick up from the nose and poke them in the eyes. The rest of the top I would leave long enough to put in a bow. It's a way to keep it trimmed out of their eyes, but still have some to put a bow in.

I always groom my own. Can't see paying someone to give my dog a bad haircut when I can do it for free.

Sully has "bangs" now - not on purpose but I'm trying to grow that hair out and it keeps breaking. There's only a few hairs but they bend over front-ways and kinda look like bangs, lol.

That's his Hair Visor Hat.....Great for shielding the sun from his widdle eyes...

and especially great for a yorkie who lives the life of a King at his beachfront condo in beautiful CHARLESTON, S.C.

jamaica is not very good at letting me put anything in her hair.she is 9 months old ,do you think she well evey let me.only time she gets anything in her hair is when she goes to the groomers and it takes to people to put anything in her hair.anytime i just rub the top of her head she gets nervous.do you think she will out grow this.

I honestly think if you don't start putting the bands in there hair when they first come home, then more then likely they will not like having a bow in there hair when they get older. She probably will never like you putting her hair up!

My female has a top knot and the male has bangs,she gets pretty bows,he is too manly for the stuff...when I used to put him in top knots,he got depressed,saying he was a guy,she loves to be pretty:aimeeyork
