| ?? soothing moisturizer for flea bites ?? Bailey has fleas I gave him two flea baths in the past two months as well as flea medication. He has been biting/scratching still and it was suggested that he is biting an old flea bite sight, but yesterday I decided to check his coat and found 4 more of those nasty buggers I noticed in some areas that his skin is pink in color due to biting/scratching. Can anyone recommend a soothing and moisturizing/curing cream for these areas? Is there anything in the home one can use? Thanks much!! |

| Aww poor baby. You can put some cortisone cream on him. I used that a lot when Peanut had hot spots. It really worked well. Just make sure you rub it in really good and don’t let him lick that area. Hopefully he feels better.. being itchy is no fun!!

| We met out first flea last year and Teddy had a few bites. I used organic coconut oil on him. I like the coconut oil for skin irritations because it is healing and I don't have to worry about him ingesting it. We also had a topical spray from the vet for Teddy's spider bite. The vet told us we can use it on any type of bite. If your baby's bites are bad, I recommend making a quick trip to the vet.

| I use coconut oil for minor skin irritations. Bogie has had a horrible time itching with seasonal fall allergies this year. He had a huge red place on his tummy from scratching last week. I applied coconut oil and the next morning it was gone. We went into the vet yesterday and he was given a shot for his itchies.

| Thanks for the well wishes! He seems to be getting better. Still on the hunt for those buggers though. Good to know cortisone is ok to use and I have some in my home. I will try that Bailey has fine hair so it is pretty easy to see those buggers and kill them but he's still scratching some. |

| Use any shampoo that has a coconut based cleanser. It has healing & conditioning properties & is very gentle on the skin & hair, even for sensitive fur babies. Espree has a wonderful hypo-allergenic shampoo, show style silky line is coconut based also. Select Petco carries it, if you can't find it, I sell it on my site & YT members get 10% off.
