Yes, I've been studying everybody's pictures, and I'm ready. I just know Tiki is going to love the cool sleek look, with our warm weather here, and she goes in the pool once a week and turns into a shaggy mess.

Just have to make some time to cut away.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of the darker steel blue color she has closer to her skin; it's always only about 1/2 - 1", then it fades out on the longer length. I love the velvety feel of my other pups in the short cut too, but have let Tiki grow out for over a year.

I DID IT!!!! Took the plunge and cut off the long hair last night, and she is SO cute. It was late so I didn't finish her face, but will soon and will post pics.
She was pouting and hiding under a chair after though, and Meika kept sniffing her and staring at her. Today they are all back to normal.

Wish I had done this sooner.

I'm really loving seeing all these pictures! :D

I'm really considering having Lane cut down into the Joey. Shh! Don't tell her it's named after a boy (albeit a hubba, hubba studly mcmuffin cute one). She constantly pees all over her backend, in between her back legs and then it gets on her feet too. It just drips everywhere, and she needs a butt bath with blowout at least every two days if not more often to get rid of the pee. When we go for long walks, everything clings to her with the lovely combination of stickiness and long hair. Adding to all the fun her hair is naturally rather curly, so it's only straight for a few days after each blowout.

I hope these aren't dumb questions, but how is the back of the neck done? I can't picture it. Is all the grey/blue just shaved down? I'm assuming to help fix the issue with her peeing all over herself I'll need to have her butt shaved down too. Is that what most people have? It kind of looks like it's blended from the sides, but it is hard to tell from the pictures.

If anyone wants to ease my mind or answer my questions, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks! :)

I am sick of Maci's 3in long hair already lol, and I'm sitting in my bathroom w/clippers, scissors, combs, brushes, etc etc for grooming haha. And come across this thread to use for pictures. Wish me luck! She's getting the Zhoie/Joey cut NOW :P I'm not expecting perfection on my first try, but I hope I don't mess up too badly haha.
I trust myself more than I'd trust the only groomer in town located at the strip mall!
