The hair - not a big deal. The nasty looking cut - she would never touch my dog again. I need honestly. She was not. Wouldn't even consider letting her touch my dog again. BTW, I have cut E with the scissors before and it didn't look like that at all and wasn't nearly as bad. Maybe it was the clippers, but I dunno. Have you ever watched her restrain him? She could have said xyz happened and this is how I'm going to prevent it in the future. Instead she said nothing. I only want trustworthy people alone with my girl. I do it myself to avoid stuff like this. Found out E's vet is also having serious reservations about leaving her shih tzu pup at the groomers too. Too many people just can't be trusted. |
I can't see that big of a difference in the face shots...regarding the nick...these things happen...especially if the dog suddenly moved --- if you've been using this person for awhile and have been happy and there were no previous nicks then I'd chalk it up to the odds that something like that is bound to eventually happen when working with animals...it's not like they fully understand that if they suddenly jerk they could get nick. With a mobile groomer --- in a van outside your home I assume??? --- a loud car could have driven by, backfire, all sorts of things that could have caused him to jump right when the clippers were going at that spot. Give her another chance... |
Totally unacceptable. I would not use her again, period. |

I'm not talented with hair either and also picky with Macy's hair. I watched a couple of videos on the web, purchased a good clipper with a few blades and started slowly. Macy was horrible the first month I tried to groom her but I kept offering treats and kept the sessions short and didn't give up. I do her body once a week to keep it short but once in a while when her face looks messy I take her to a groomer to just touch up her face while I wait. She goes to the vet tech for her nails if they need trimming as I don't want to do those. We walk every day on hard roads and they file her nails down naturally so she seldom needs her nails trimmed. Just this weekend she sat at my feet while I got out the clippers and all the supplies ready. Up until then, she would take off running if I brought out the trimmer box. I have nicked her once in 6 months but learned quickly what not to do the next time. It's also a great bonding experience. You can do it!!! |
