ETA: I meant a man's cologne in general, not a specific man that I hate who wore a scent like that! LOL!!! |
I use Minksheen and a great conditioner after it - totally takes away the smell cause like everyone says - it does leave alot to be desired but it also works great too - I like the fact that it's a repellant.... try a nice smelling conditioner and leave it in a few minutes - you'd be surprised how good they smell |
I think the smell of MinkSheen is kind of a woodsy musk, from it's cedar-citronella-eucalyptus oil that is supposed to repel insects. I'm not a fan of the smell, so I cover it with nice conditioner; still love the Mink Oil for giving a soft shiny coat though. When I first joined YT 2 years ago, it seems lots of people were using Pantene products on their doggies. Is that still the case? I love Pantene for taming my long curly hair, and think I might try it on the poochies (diluted of course). |

Well, I did dilute it and it worked wonderful. I put a small amount of water in the sink and a small amount of Minksheen in the sink as well and used that to wash her. The smell was much better. I used Magic Coat finishing spray on her when I dried her and it left her smelling really well. Has anyone used Summerwinds products? Another YTer suggested the Protect-A-Coat leave in conditioner and I thought about trying it. Her yorkies have gorgeous coats so I thought about it.....any experiences?? |
i also like cherry -remo Hansen's Super Moist Cherry Re-Mo Plus Remoisturizer 12 oz i use this on my malt and it smells sooooooo good and makes her coat so soft so i bath her in plum silky and use this leave on conditioner then spritz the quicker slicker on her and she smells wonderful and her coat is so soft it is all natural ingredients as well |
