Groomers: yes, no, when, and where in LV?
 

HI! I"m in Vegas too. The couple of times I've splurged and taken Soph to a groomer we went to the one at Petsmart Rainbow & Lake Mead. They did a good job with her. I asked them to just trim the body a little and not touch anything on her head or ears and that's exactly what they did. I was really pleased because I've heard and read about horror stories where owner asked for a little trim and came back to a shaved, naked Yorkie. 2nd time was just for a bath and blowout. I hear you about the heat, it can be brutal on the little ones so as soon as it starts getting up into the 80's and 90's Soph becomes a 100% indoor dog until the fall. I've seen lots of cute cuts where the body is really short but the head is left long so it can be put up. Also saw one that had a schnauzer cut that was absolutely adorable. As far as age, until she's had all the shots, especially bordatella and parvo, no reputable groomer will touch her, for the safety of both your baby and their other clients. At six months she she should be done with them so you should be ok I would think. Been too long since Soph was a pup so I can't remember for sure when all the shots are finished.
