bathing question hi everyone how many times do u bath your yorkies i bath bella about every 3 to 4 weeks but my friend said thats wrong and a dog should only be bathed 2 a year so whats the right amount of times should i be bathing her x |
I bathe mine about every 4 days. My vet said it was fine as long as you get all the soap out. It irritates and dries the skin if you don't. |
wow every 4 days i thought i was gonna get bombarded with OMG you dont wash your puppy that much so glad iam the one doin it right would love to hear how many times other people bath theirs i always find that after a coupld of weeks bella coat gets a bit grubby and greesy thats why i bath her and i brush her everyday sometimes twice x |
All 3 of mine get a bath once a week. We have a regular routine and do this every Saturday morning. If I go two weeks, then their coats start to look pretty dirty. |
Romeo gets his bath every Sunday night. The vet says that as long as the skin isn't getting dried out that its fine :D |
We do every Tuesday after daycare. Sometimes it's more like if they got really dirty at the dogpark, but in the winter I try to go every 2 weeks between baths. |
All 8 of mine get bathed every Sunday, and they are all in full coat. |
Couver gets bathed about once a week. I sometimes try to hold out longer if I feel he isn't too dirty. The longest I've gone is 2 weeks... he starts to get gross at that point. |
iam the same with bella her coat looks dirty and she starts to look like a stray lol but i give her a bath and her coat goes lovely and silky x |
Lexi gets a bath every Saturday...and she knows when it is saturday LOL its the only day of the week she stays clear of the bathroom otherwise she will follow me everywhere Hugs Cheryl & Lexi |

My mom said that too but yorkies are different they have hair not fur and after a week Callie is pretty greasy. I bathe once a week. |
Mine usually get bathed about every two weeks. More or less depending on how they look/ smell. |

Once a week for my guys. Just use a good quality shampoo and conditioner and then bathing them often will not be a problem. Nothing like a freshly bathed yorkie.:D |

I believe if it's a young puppy, no more than every 2 weeks. After that, whatever *you* think they need it. Uni gets one every sunday night, after we get home from the park. :D SOMETIMES we can stretch it for a week and a half, but she has a bit of the runny eyes, so thats the worst of it.... crusty face. |

Ella gets a bath every Sunday. If she goes outside or to the park and gets dirty she may get 2 baths a week, but that's rare. =] |
Winston goes to the groomer and gets a bath & trim every 6 weeks. I usually bathe him twice in between grooming appointments. I keep him in a puppy cut so it is quite easy to keep him clean. |
Same here, once every 5-7 days. My yorkies are pretty easy to bathe, which I'm so glad about. I use in between bath wipes also and brush their hair everyday. I finish each bath with a treat so they know to be good during bathing! |
My girls are bathed once a week. If I go even a couple days longer than that, they are total stinkbombs LOL! |
I bathe mine once a week, sometimes more..like when they get super dirty during walks or step in or around some irresponsible owner's dog poop. :rolleyes: |
